Koi to Senkyou to Chocolate / Love and Elections and Chocolate
Mm, not great? It's okay. ish.
- I want to get back into writing fic, but sometimes high school animes are... weird? A lot of the jokes fell flat for me.
- I don't think the title fit that well? Like, sure, all three were present, but IDK if it was a good mix.
- Something that I didn't like was that the high school students control everything, which I found bonkers, the degree of how that happened. I don't mind secret counsels, and corrupt offices, but this was a bit much.
- Kind of hated the love story. Didn't really feel like the two fell for each other and were too dense to realize it, with the whole 'I'll replace my deceased brother with you' vs 'prove you're over his death by eating chocolate'.
- Opening music was cute, and I loved listening to it.
- Despite not liking the love story, I actually did like the artificial love triangle, because the three were in on the joke, and they enjoyed doing the skit repeatedly. It was super cute! They liked pretending they were in a love triangle! I know it was revealed that it was a genuine love triangle, which I didn't mind that much, I preferred it when it was all light and fluffy, and one declares their love, and the other gasps and sighs, and says they're unavailable, and then the third would be mock jealous, and then they'd all burst into laughter.
- Super hated the fanservice.
I've seen better, I've seen worse. 6/10.
