Hotel Del Luna

 A GOOD SHOW.

- My main complaint is that the episodes are too long. It wasn't as bad as say, CLOY but!!! I don't really like episodes being longer than 1h10m, if I'm being honest.

- Super loved the wardrobe, the visuals, the characters.

- I got more endeared by the romance than I thought, TBH! I mean, okay, the Hong sisters always make me love one of the main characters, because they're just a little bit terrible: The Master's Sun (Joo Joong Won), My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho (Cha Dae Woong), A Korean Odyssey (Son Oh Gong), so it was really great to see that Man-Wol was a bit terrible too! Usually it's the men, which I do not mind in the slightest, but it was great to see a female character be the one who is prickly and selfish and endearing. Like, the trade off is that the love interest tends to be a little bland -- even though I like them all in their own way, because I do think the actors genuinely do have their own quirks. But like: one half always appeals to me more, when it comes to the Hong sisters.

- So: I liked Man-Wol slowly being drawn and falling in love with Goo Chan-Sung, at her own pace, and her being petty and spiteful, and then showing her warmer side to him too. I like that she feels a myriad of emotions towards him, suspicious that he might be her reincarnated lover, or that, he'll end her-- basically: send her off to the afterlife, and originally she hates that idea, but then, becomes okay with it, the more she falls for him. Also, her love of food was great! And I liked Chan-sung here!!! I actually think the actor tends to be more suited to historicals, for whatever reason, but here he really nailed the part.

- Also: Chan-sung crying at the bus stop, alone, really moved me. I truly did care for this character, and the way he effortlessly fell in love with her, was just. Really great!

- The only reason I can't put this drama in my favourite romances list is because they don't end up together. They will, hopefully, in a future where they both reincarnate together, along with everyone else, but not this lifetime! Not the one I want!!!

- I actually did like the backstory for Man-Wol, and her love interest, but I was never quite as invested in them, besides wanting to know their tragedy, TBH.

- And it was charming that Man-wol and Chan-sung had met before, even if neither of them recognized it, the first time around, when they were kids. And it was Chan-sung that pushed Man-wol into loving food as much as she did.

- Super loved that the hotel staff tried to kill him though, in fear of them losing their jobs. And then lying about it immediately. THEY CAME CLEAN BY THE FINALE, BUT OH MY GOD??? I was stupid entertained by those antics, and how they came to care for him as well. I loved learning the mystery of the staff, and how they also were able to move on as well.

- Though I'm super gutted by the b-ship. Like. I understand that, like Man-wol, Ji Hyun Joo was going to move on, and leave his girlfriend behind, but god, that made me sad too. Both of them were inevitable, I just didn't want it to happen.

- Everyone having fun with the photos made me cry. It was such a good goodbye moment, and I was in tears for it.

- Sanchez was great! Really sad about his girlfriend passing away, but oh man, I loved Sanchez a lot! Him talking to the Grim Reaper was great.

- In general, how the staff were friends with the Grim Reaper was great.

- The Ma Go's were great! It was so fun to see that actress play so many different-but-same characters and act very differently for each of them!

- Didn't really care for the serial killer ghost that lasted a couple of episodes. When it's just a Monster-Of-The-Week, it's fine, but like, I do not like the Hong sister's villains, because for some reason, they just don't interest me.

- I loved seeing other hotel managers though! That was incredibly cool! I was so sad to see the first hotel manager only last a day or so after retiring before he passed on. :(((

- I am very excited for Hotel Blue Moon, though! I mean, you don't give me a sequel hook like that, with an actor I like a lot, and not expect a second season for it!! I would like Chan-sung and Kim Yoo-Na to appear, and probably Ma Go (and the Grim Reaper?), but I wonder if the Hong Sisters will write it, or someone else would. Either way: intrigued, can't wait.

- This show made me laugh so hard. Like, the Hong sisters are incredibly funny, even though I do think they go too broad sometimes, but! It worked for me a lot in this show.

So: yeah. 9/10. Really great.
