The Hollow Season 2

satalasers Oh man, this show! I love it so! I didn't expect any of it, but let's be real, that's exactly how The Hollow operates! Each episode always makes me think: where is this going? and I cannot predict it at all.
- I super loved the backstory of these characters! And I just like that any character inconsistencies from s1 and s2 make sense because no one had any memory of their backstory, so any prior friendship/antagonism is gone because they see each other as competition, since they don't know any better. So Skeet/Mira and Adam/Mira being best friends was incredibly neat.
- Once again, I made the mistake of not rewatching last season, so when Mira and Adam start talking about Reeve, I did not remember him (until I saw him again, and went: OH! of course I know you!), and Adam/Reeve are, pretty clearly, ex boyfriends. (I don't know if Reeve is canonically gay, unlike Adam, but they sure do go for exes vibes, and Adam/Reeve/Mira being the original team was really interesting to discover.
- Also, I gotta say, even if Mira/Adam will never, ever be canon, they are without a doubt, my favourite relationship on this show. They're such best friends, and I just love how important they are to each other. I have a feeling that the ships on this show will be Adam/Reeve, Kai/Vanessa and Skeet/Mira. (I'm not entirely sold on Skeet/Mira, but they did have a cute friendship, but I'm not entirely certain it's going to be romantic; Kai/Vanessa, on the other hand, super ship them.)
- I really liked Vanessa this season. (I always liked her, but it was nice that this season, she gave such a different side of her.). I liked that she spent a lot of the show feeling guilty and slow to open up because she knew that the fault was hers. Also, I did not see it coming that she knew the whole time that they were in a videogame! That's really cool, and something I'll have to look out for when I rewatch this show! Because that would explain a lot, why she was so merciless in s1!
- I'm sad that we didn't get to see Skeet much, but on the other hand, him staying dead really did show the stakes of "round two".
- Oh, boy, I did not like the new team though! Just! I don't know, they were good to contrast how the original team were in the previous season, but I didn't really care about them much, anyway? And found them a little annoying?
- Wierdy/Gustav was the CUTEST. Always the best character! And I liked that he helped out the digital copies of the original two teams. What a sweetheart! I loved that he was just as confused as they were, but sang Radiohead's Creep terrifically!
- It does make me hope for a s3 (and maybe live action! I know people didn't like the twist of s1, but I did! and I want to know what happened to the real versions of these guys, because what is going on with this company!??); although I don't know if I want the "copies" to reappear again? I want them to stay in their private slice of heaven.
- Mainly though: Vanessa!!!! How does cheating/glitching eye effect the real world???
- However, with the reveal that Kai is 14, Mira 15, Adam 16, IDK if they'd be able to pull off live action and make these characters look believably that age? (Unless they did a time jump!) Like, having Kai be 14 explains a lot about him (also him being a rich kid who lives with his butler since his parents are never home!), and I just wonder what's in store with him next. IDK, I found Kai kind of unbearable the first time I watched s1, less so when I rewatched it again, and now with the knowledge of the characters ages, (but who knows for V/R/S), I just wonder how I'll perceive his behaviour in s1 this time.
I just really hope there's a s3, because I still don't think this show is over yet, and I'm not quite ready to let go of these characters either.
