Because rereading is fun too, and gosh, I love this book series so much. So much!

I've been rewatching Ghibli films, and so of course I get to Howl, and I'm like: I love the movie. But I love the book. If I'm rewatching, I can reread too! So, I'm gonna reread my faves.

- It's just delightful and wierd and plotty and everyone is a little bit sassy with each other.

- I so want to see a version that's truer to the book. I really do adore the fairytale quality and remix of the book that the movie is, but I'd love to see a version where Howl and Sophie lose their tempers at each other constantly, and scream out their confessions against the wind.

- I lovelovelove that Howl is secretly hoping that Sophie is the pretty girl he met at the start of the book, and the fact that he says it makes my heart swoon a little bit. Howl, in general, is such a drama queen, and I love how Sophie doesn't really put up with it. I love seeing Sophie and Michael in Wales.

- I love how angry Sophie gets in this! She's still so nice and kind, but I like how she can vent and be a little bit petty. And I love how she slowly falls in love with Howl too.

- Okay, I don't think I understood what Cayenne was in my earlier rereads, but now it's clicked, and the fact that Sophie gave a guy Cayenne pepper to win a fight is hilarious, especially since the outcome gets revealed, and now that customer is getting sued. I cackled.

- I kinda love the Hatter sisters, and the fact that Sophie misses them and thinks about them constantly, and then they get reunited, and they all love each other!

- "I think we should live happily-ever-after. It should be hair raising." HOWL. HOWELL JENKINS.

- God, I love Calcifer so much. I love that he's snotty and gives hints that go over Sophie's head. I love that he's a demon, and he chooses to stay with them, and the fact that Sophie makes time for him when she's running her new flower shop.

- Michael and Martha are great! Also Ben and Lettie!

- The reveal that Princess Valeria, is in fact a toddler, to Sophie's mortification, and the King's sympathy, continues to be ridiculously funny.

It's just a good book! I adore it so much!
