I honestly found this kdrama to be super charming! Also, it reunited me with my first leading man, Lee Min-Ki, who I'd seen many many years ago in Dal-Ja's Spring! Here, the situation is reversed, but he's just as lovely as ever.

Premise: Ji Ho, who is a assistant writer, wants to live in a nice apartment. Se Hee, has a nice apartment, but wants a good roommate. They become roommates, and decide to get fake married so no one asks questions about why they are roommates with the opposite gender. Feelings ensue.

- It's such a slowburn, but honestly so worth it. There's something incredibly charming about these two pretty unromantic people coming to know each other, and navigate their relationship by being upfront and honest about things. The last two episodes sort of undermined it, but I also think that love blinds, especially as Ji Ho, who had never been in love before, affects her relationship with him, so I don't mind too much. Also, what a good kiss! I love me a good kiss scene, and these ones were great.

- Oh I super adored Se Hee in this. How he's very stiff and stoic, though his eyes say a million things, and I love how he's in awe of her cleaning prowess. I also like that he loves his cat, Kitty, very much. I liked that he was logical to a fault, and wanted to be cold, because he was afraid of falling in love for the second time, and this is why he is slow to act. It kind of damned him, because even though I, the audience, could tell how attached he was getting to Ji Ho, it didn't necessarily mean that she did?

- Ji Ho was sweet too. I liked that she'd kind of burnt up. She didn't have much of a career, she sacrificed even having  a love life because she wanted a career. She was occasionally impulsive, and petty, and overstepped her boundaries, but I liked that she was kind of aware of her faults too.

- The friendships were great too! I liked Se Hee's group of friends, which is mainly his work buddies, but especially Sang Goo. To a lesser extent it was Won Seok, but not really; though Sang Goo and Won Seok were good friends. Meanwhile, Ji Ho had a very strong connection with Soo Ji and Ho Rang, and I liked how these three girls supported each other but also got on each other's nerves a bit, but cared for each other a lot.

- Also what cute b-couples! The screwball comedy of Soo Ji and Sang Goo was especially cute -- although Sang Goo's hearteyed expression was extremely adorable, and I liked that Soo Ji didn't really reciprocate until Sang Goo became less unbearable, and realized that actually he was better than that. He liked Soo Ji for her temper and her confidence; and while Soo Ji wanted to be a career woman, with flings on the side, she still caught feelings for him. (Because he was uber cute!) So these two were very charming and delightful to watch.

- I do think Ho Rang and Won Seok were less cute, as a couple, but I did like them! I totally get why they're not for everyone, but to be honest, they remind me of my parents a little bit.  Ho Rang talks about 'training' Won Seok, which, my mother does occasionally say something like that about my father. It's not that they're pets, but having known each other for so long, you'd just kind of hope that your partner is supposed to be more accustomed to your wants and wishes? But reality ensues, Ho Rang realizes that she's selfish, and she suffocates Won Seok. Hopefully she's clearer about her needs and wants without assuming that Won Seok knows -- he's not a mind reader, after all. So I liked that they broke up and had some space from each other.

- I mean, I do think part of me would have been happy if Ho Rang and Won Seok had ended up with other people. This show introduced people who were more similar to them in personality, and while I would have loved if this show had decided for them to end up with Bo-Mi or the guy who wanted to get married quickly. I knew Ho Rang's heart wasn't in it, but her new BF was so cute, and I would have liked them to have been bubbly excited people, because I could see them being super cute friends, with similar pasts. But alas, the show wanted to go 'while these two are perhaps better for them, on paper, the heart wants what it wants, even if they fight and drive each other a bit mad'.

- I wish Ji Ho had gone back to writing. I mean, she did! The epilogue definitely implies that. But I really liked Se Hee's ex-girlfriend, who was super nice to Ji Ho, helping her out with her sexual assault case, and she just... kind of decides against working for her. But I liked that hanged out and formed a friendship, and I guess I would have liked them to remain friends, even if they did part on friendly terms.

- I loved the parents. They were so different to each other, and I don't know. I just liked how they were with their children, even if maybe at times it wasn't the best. There was a ton of miscommunication and fights and intermediary work, but again, that kind of felt true to life too.

- Also! Bok-Min was a cutie pie! NGL, I totally fell for the 'Bok-Min is a secret stalker', but then it turns out that nope! His photo turns out to have been identity theft! And he recognized them when he was a caterer at their wedding, and they had absolutely no recollection of him! But he turned out to be so sweet and decent that I kind of felt ashamed to have judged him so quickly. But those red flags sure did work!

- It made me laugh that I recognized the actors from Let's Eat 1 and 2, and it turns out that they were then showing promos of Lets Eat 2! IDK, it made me smile!

- Honestly, the first episode charmed me so much, when Se Hee thought his roommate was male, and Ji Ho thought her roommate was female, and they texted each other, and slept in the same apartment, but didn't recogize each other until the next episode, even though they met like three times beforehand! It was cute!

- I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I think Ji Ho made the right call to get that divorce. She wanted him to say that he loved her, and I guess she did know that he was going to confess, but he didn't. So I think they both needed that space. I do think she should have written clearer in her letter that she wasn't gone forever, but love blinding her, I think can partly excuse it. (But not completely.) But I think Ji Ho did need to examine her own heart, and see if her love for him remained even after some time off. And Se Hee needed space because I don't think he could have verbalized his feelings for her, even if he was encouraged by other people, he needed to know how badly she meant to him, to miss her so thoroughly, that the next time he saw her, he could say it. But they're both a little bit dense, so I don't mind too much that this missed the mark a little.

So, I think it's a 9.5/10 is pretty well deserved.
