Saint Seiya
Mar. 4th, 2020 11:37 am I finished Saint Seiya the anime. Still have to get to the Hades OVA, but I'm nearly there! Loved it a lot!
I'm kind of indifferent to the Asgard arc, it was interesting, but I think it dragged at times.
Super loved the Poiseidon arc though! KANON WAS AN UNEXPECTED FAVE. With lines such as: "oh my twin may have had a superevil alter ego, but I myself am just evil" and "what do you mean, a baby saved me?" how could I NOT love him? He was SO GREAT. I liked that the Asgard arc led into Poiseidon though. His backstory was cool and compelling, and it was lovely to see Saga again.
I really liked Hyouga's battle with Isaak. That was very cool. I've always liked his backstory, and this added to it nicely. (Also love seeing the Crystal Saint again.)
For once Ikki didn't die! That was a surprise!
Julian was cool! I think he's an interesting character, but I definitely want to read the manga to see more about him/being a host for the gods work.
In general, I really like the naming system in Saint Seiya. The Saints. The Mariners. The Specters. I just love theme naming so much!
I really want to watch this show in Spanish, so much! But defintely in the latter half of the year, I think. Enough time will have hopefully passed so it'll be fun to see what I remember and don't.
