satalasers You know I hate this show. I just. I had to finish it.
- I don't really think this show was much improved? I think they toned down the fanservice moments, but I also kind of feel like the show was a lot more incomprehensible to watch?
- They didn't really give me much reason to care about Shiage Hamazura TBH? He spent most of the season protecting someone, and I guess that's nice but that didn't mean that I cared about him, but seeing him think on his feet and pretty willing to get dirty and think underhandedly made him much more interesting! Unfortunately, that was like, what? Second last episode or so? So most of the time, I didn't really like his screentime because it felt like a waste, and it was hard to give a damn about either character.
- You know what. I wish Accelerator was on a better show. Him snapping, and desire to protect Last Order is super interesting! But it felt botched, really rushed and just!!! ugh, he became the most interesting character, especially how he thought himself as a villain/wondered what role he needed to take to protect the Sisters, and his fight with Touma was interesting because of that, but like. It needed to be in a better show.
- I really wish that the show had explained his wings better TBH.
- I know this show stopped caring about Touma, and Index, but still. I just want them integrated in the show, which ostensibly about them!!!!!! and feature in the episodes instead of wondering how this disjointed mess all comes together..
- It really didn't come together all that well anyway. It was a show that was hard to care about because of the rushed nature of it.
- It does make me sad that Misaka Mikoto barely got to do anything.
- I genuinely wonder if it's better reading the books, TBH? I mean, theoretically, the light novels is on it's third series, and if they're all 22ish volumes long, you could make a 3 season long adaptation for the next two series -- or alternatively, just restart the light novels adaptations, but instead of making it 24 episodes long, make it 100 episodes or whatever, to make the pacing much more coherent/improved over what was given.
- It definitely bugs me that the anime ends with 'more is to follow'/'the story isn't over yet', but um, there's a chance that there won't be any more anime adaptations? At least, I hope not.
- You know what. I'm so annoyed that Touma's amnesia does actually get brought up, but then NOTHING comes about it, and I just. God, it annoys me. I waited through the entire of s2 to see if they might mention it, and Mikoto finds out about it, but like? nothing? Nothing happens with it? I just -- that really leaves me unsatisfied.
4/10, because yeah. Did not like this show, and the parts I did like were fleeting and not well done at all.
