satalasers: (Saga; pensive)

Kind of lost interest halfway, TBH. I decided to put in on the background while I read Kimi Wa Petto, TBH.

- As always, I feel bad for Hera. But I also dislike Hera. I mean, it's like: Hera in the right for being furious at Zeus cheating on her with Electra. Hera, unfortunately, always blames Electra for stealing her husband away from her. (Which it never is! considering Zeus is always the one to make the first move, and sleep with the mortal women in another disguise, so half the time, it feels like the women don't even know in the first place that they're sleeping with Zeus!) Like, I know Electra figured it out, that wasn't her husband on some nights, but. Can mortal woman really refuse sleeping with gods, after they find out? 'Cause, like, a lot of times, it feels like if they say no, they'll get punished. ANYWAY, but then, after figuring it out and being told the truth, Electra is already pregnant, and -- IDK think getting abortions is possible at that time. But anyway, of course Hera is always characterized as 'it's the woman and baby's fault! I must kill them both!' and every time, I really wish she could see the other women and unborn children as victims too.

- Like. I'd be happier if Hera could just divorce Zeus. But, that's not going to happen. So apparently, Hera has no choice but to be the Bad Guy, who is angry, justifiably so, but always takes it too far. I still didn't like her in this, but that didn't mean I was happy with her fate, TBH.

- As nice as the series wants to present Zeus, as a mostly honourable god, who occasionally slips up, but apparently does mean well, and cares for all his kids, I'm still annoyed at him. I don't know how much I can genuinely believe him when he swears he will never cheat again, when dude, that's kind of -- a lot of reasons why Hera is so miserable 100% of the time.

- I didn't really care for Heron or Alexei TBH.

- Seraphim was probably the character I got most invested in. Which I didn't really expect, considering, I felt indifferent to his backstory episode, and to him for most of the series, and thought Hera was genuinely lying to him, when she told him that Electra was his mother, and only believed it when Zeus later confirmed it. Anyway, there was something about the fact that it series ends with Seraphim being told to kneel again, after being used as a pawn for Hera, and pretty much having a terrible life nonstop, that got to me. I still don't think I particularly want him to win, or even, really rooted for him, but -- his situation kind of sucks, and I want him to have a happier ending.

- Will it happen? Doubt it.

Unfortunately, I want to know what happens next to Seraphim, so I'm kind of stuck with this show, and will watch the next season, if there is one. But I didn't really think much of it, for most part.
