This was a manga that I put on hold for a while, and thought, hey, I'll just pick up from where I left off, because I'd bookmarked it, so I was just thought to myself, why not?

- Despite the emotional cheating, I honestly think it's a pretty solid romance? Like. I really do like the whole Sumire/Momo developing friendship, and then ensuing falling in love with each other, even though it takes ages. I mean, yeah, it's wierd, but it works for them. Sumire is able to be emotionally open when she treats Momo as a pet, and that security does make sense why she's unwilling to see him as a romantic option, because to her, he is a (human) pet.

- I also think I like Sumire/Momo as a ship is because they live pretty distinctly different lives, but the way they overlap, and are able to provide comfort for each other is really -- something breathtaking.

- That being said, the whole thing goes on for years, and Sumire is in love with (think she's in love with) Hatsui, is just. Ugh. Listen, I like Hatsui, I honestly wish Sumire and Hatsui could have worked out, and it's really unfair that Hatsui never really finds out about Sumire's life that she hid from him???

- Gotta say, I did not like Shiori. I do think it's a double standard to say that as underhanded and ruthless Shiori is, I'm... more okay with Momo doing it? And I'm really trying to question myself about that -- because, hm. The Sumire/Momo relationship feels much... purer? to me? It feels like. For most of the manga, Momo isn't trying to steal Sumire away from Hatsui, even if he's blatantly aware that there's a reason why the Hatsui/Sumire relationship isn't working -- though I do think part of him wants to push Sumire to be like that with Hatsui, being more emotionally open. Whereas Shiori kind of -- pretty upfront, is like: doing it to steal Hatsui away from Sumire.

- I'm more annoyed that it worked for Hatsui/Shiori too TBH. I don't -- I don't know what Hatsui gets out of it, TBH. He gets to lose his temper more? Sumire/Momo worked, because a huge amount was dedicated to them, slowly, slowly coming together, with Sumire's denial being a huge factor into why it wasn't really an option. Hatsui/Shiori feels far more rushed, in that sense.

- You know, I wasn't really sure what to think of Hugo/Emma, but I surprisingly liked them? I liked Emma being all 'yes, yes I like you, god you're so annoying!' and it took ages for that to happen too. I also liked Emma and Sumire's friction? Like, they dislike each other, and Sumire *wants* to be liked by Emma, but it's just -- it takes a long time for that to happen, to see that they're actually pretty similar, and can bond once they found common ground.

- I was indifferent to Rumi. I didn't mind her, or Rumi/Momo, but uh, yeah,Rumi's romance was okay too.

- Should I be okay with the age difference, I wonder? Like, it reminded me a little bit of Dal-Ja's Spring, but there, where there's a five year age difference, Dal-Ja being 30ish, and Tae-Bong being 27, I want to say? That's a little more understandable than like, Momo, 22, and Sumire, 28/29. I think it's okay, but hmm. Might need to think on that for a bit.

So, Pretty good. Glad I finished it. 8/10.
