The Mandalorian Season 2

satalasers I told myself I was going to watch half one day, and watch half another. I ended up watching the whole thing in one day.
- SUPER ADDICTIVE. SUPER GREAT.
- Loved seeing Din being a father and every word being 'bring your child to work day', and how everybody (nearly everybody) adoring Grogu. I'm actually happier with this level of talkitiveness -- it's... still sparse, I think, but he's so warm and loving to his son, that the level of growth makes sense to me.
- Did very much cry when Din and Grogu separated. I know it's unlikely that they'll reunite, but OH. I want them to so badly! The face touching!!!
- I don't know how I feel about Grogu going with Luke. On one hand, YAY LUKE, and seeing him be epic and bad ass was fantastic, on the other hand, is The Mandalorian trying to pretend the sequel trilogies don't exist? Because, um??? If so, yes please??
- I'm so happy to see Titus Welliver doing work! I just like to see him acting, Space Nazi or not, and just. I really liked him here.
- WOW I HATE BO KATAN. SO MUCH HATRED FOR THAT TERRORIST. I don't like her changing the deal, and trying to force Din to abandon Grogu. Don't like her saying that Din's Way is not The Way. Don't like her saying that Din's foster home was a fanatical cult (when we definitely do not have proof of that, and YOU WERE A TERRORIST, YOU'VE GOT NO ROOM TO TALK. DEATHWATCH IS NOT SOMETHING SHE REGRETS.) Don't like her for saying that Boba Fett isn't a true Mandalorian either. Like, yeah, I'm pretty sure that she and the entirety of Deathwatch are just racist.
- I've been wondering why my dislike of Bo Katan has increased, and I think it's because I don't know how I'm supposed to see her. Even in a world of shades of grey, in the Mandalorian, she's still pretty fucking evil? She's evil in TCW, because you know, Deathwatch is a terrorist organisation. I -- I don't know what I'm supposed to make of her in Rebels, because like, Sabine, why the fuck would you give a terrorist the throne? And so here, I'm just like -- everything about her is awful, and I just kind of hate her a lot.
- Don't know why anyone would want her to be in the Mandalorian throne TBH. It's failed twice already, third time isn't going to be the charm.
- DID super love Boba Fett, though. YAY TEMURA MORRISON. TBH, I was a little sad it wasn't Daniel Logan playing the character, but if there any other candidates, then OFC the actor who played Jango Fett is a worthy alternative. And also: sometimes just when he spoke he made me very happy? I don't know! It just did!
- I'm kinda into Boba/Fennic. IDK! Ming Na Wen!!! I knew she wasn't dead! I'm so glad she gets to kick butt and be awesome partners with him.
- Also: my heart leapt when Boba Fett was like "the baby isn't safe, ergo the deal isn't complete" -- like?? Boba Fett!!! YOU'RE SO COOL.
- Also: OFC Boba Fett is a Mandalorian. Yeah, that was a retcon that shouldn't have happened, so I'm a bit: like. You did this whole loophole to cover your tracks, when y'know if you'd just let the Fetts remain Mandalorian from the start, you wouldn't have been in that fucking mess from the start. I'm sorry, I got no sympathy. You caused that mess in the fucking first place.
- Moff Gideon was great. If I'm honest, I would have liked him a little more, but that might be because I love Giancarlo Esposito. Loved his smartness and his mockery and ruthlessness.
- Who else: super loved Timothy Oliphant too! The return of Richard Ayoade was fab! Even if it was just for one episode!
- Loved seeing Carl Weathers and Cara Dune return!
- And also the heist guy from before! IDK if I want him to return, but I did like that the episode he came back in showcased how talented he was, and sort of showed that he too had a bit of a heart of gold in moments. So sad that he's dead, but ah well, sometimes people just don't return from missions. xD. His confusion at that exchange was super great!
- Loved the Frog couple! And Grogu eating those eggs! THESE ARE NOT GROGU EGGS!
- I wish I liked Ahsoka played by Rosario Dawson. I think, it was always going to be a thankless job, just because I wanted it to be Ashley Eckstein to return to voice her, but maybe if I watch more of Ahsoka like this, since it's pretty clearly going to have a spin off, then... maybe she'll be decent? IDK, I don't know if it was my attachment to the previous actress, or just the writing, but I wish I liked Ahsoka in this, but I didn't.
- The music remains gorgeous and I love it so much! Loved seeing Banthas and other alien creatures.
- BOBA FETT SPIN OFF SHOW!!!! I KNOW I'M GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR BUT I AM EXCITED FOR IT ALREADY.
