Very fluffy and cute!
- It's about Xiao Nai, who falls in love with Bei Weiwei for her mad gamer skills instantly, and it's pretty much fluff from there. No real relationship conflicts, just pure unadulterated cuteness. Maybe diabetically so? These two are pretty much perfect people, both good looking and intelligent, and I can sort of see Bei Weiwei reserved (but dorky!), whereas Nai is just boyishly charming, and I just. I think I needed that? I really enjoyed it for that reason, because it was so stress-free, and most of the conflicts were easy to solve, IMO.
- TBH, because it took over a month for me to watch this, I did forget who was who. I completely didn't realize that Weiwei's first in-game husband (not Naihe) returns later in the show, and breaks up with his current girlfriend/in-game wife because he wants Weiwei back. I think -- something I'm also sort of confused is: did Weiwei's roommates turn against her (with the exception of Exri), because I didn't really pay them much mind to begin with, and then, they may have transformed into much cattier and vindictive girls? But that -- doesn't really make sense, because surely Weiwei's roommates would have realized who the online Lu Weiwei was, rather than think she's Erxi?
- The show was split up into two parts TBH. Part one, college life! The courting of Nai and Weiwei. Very cute IMO, because I liked seeing on-campus stuff, and Weiwei not realizing who Nai was. Part two, the holidays -- Nai's job/Weiwei's internship at his company. Even though I liked this less, it was very cute to see Nai and Weiwei as a couple. There's technically a third part, but it's more of an epilogue really: set two years after part two, where they both graduate and get married.
- Honestly, I kind of loved the fight between Weiwei and Erxi, TBH? Even though I liked Erxi for being bubbly and silly, I liked her realization that a lot of the things she gained were because of her connection with Weiwei -- even though it absolutely was not intended as such. But I get her feeling overshadowed and lashing out, because her life had kind of hit rock bottom at that point.
- Ooh, I gotta say, as much as I did like Cao Guang, and also his kind of romantic relationship with Erxi, it was totally a douchy move to think that Bei Weiwei was two timing him and having a double life in the gaming world and the real world. I know that Erxi had no idea that he thought she was actually Weiwei, but, her heartbreak was very understandable, and I'm glad that Weiwei tells him off, and Erxi doesn't forgive him. I mean, it's implied that they're definitely going to get together, which I like! I found them very cute! But he did mess up badly, and he knows it!
- If I'm honest, I would have liked more difference/discussion between in-game marriage and real life romance, because as much as we got out of it was pretty much the Cao Guang/Weiwei/Erzi love triangle(ish) misunderstanding, but like. Gaming doesn't have to equal real life? Catfishing could have happened -- which I suppose it sort of did, due to identities getting confused -- but hmm. IDK, I think I would have liked more romancing out in the real world too. Even though I think Weiwei and Nai were pretty much acting as themselves online, I just think I would have liked a little more than what we got.
- Nai's friends were adorable, and I kind of loved them calling Weiwei 'Mrs Nai'. I just found it very cute!
- I just really enjoyed this show. It was bubbly and sweet and very enjoyable.
9/10. I'm curious to see what the movie version is like, but I'll probably wait a week or so before I get round to watching that TBH.
