Oh, to be a cat.
- It's utterly adorable! Although I think I watched the wrong show first? Apparently there's an earlier version where Chi is 2D, whereas this one is 3D. Still very cute though!
- I have one very, very slight quibble with Chi and that is that cats don't wag their tails when they're happy? Like. That's a dog thing. Cats wag their tails when they're annoyed. HOWEVER, Chi doesn't really see herself as a cat, and cats with wagging tails is a very cute sight, though...
- Loved the family that Chi lives with. Miwa and Kento are adorable parents, who dote over Yohei, and all of them love Chi, so it's fab.
- Really love Chi's friends. Kuroino, is, of course, the best! I very much enjoy his cat lessons, even if Chi and Come-Come don't always get it. Come-Come makes me laugh a lot, just because he's grumpy for show, but these days he's much more prone to smiles whenever he's around Chi. Lady Calico is great. And Telly and Ann are great, whenever they turn up.
- Absolutely love the dog who loves kitties. Who can blame him!
- I am kind of bemused whether Chi dreaming of her mother/siblings (Telly and Ann) are going to go anywhere in this show? It... doesn't exactly feel like a priority, what with Chi half-remembering/forgetting this, and IDK?
- My favourite episode was probably the one where Chi and Come-Come get given a nice fish, and then all the other cats in the neighbourhood try and chase them down! It was just really cute.
- I really like the cats eyes at night turning into torches. IDK what you call it, but cat's eyes do have that effect, even if it's not to that extent.
- I kind of love that Chi can't actually communicate with the Yamada family. She'll speak at them, and them at her, but neither can actually understand each other, which is both hilarious, sweet, and sad, sometimes. Like. I love that the animals do *feel* like animals, even if I do like it when animals are just -- people wearing animal costumes, basically. Also that Chi can't communicate with other animals -- other cats, yes. But dogs? Birds? Fish? Nope!
- There's no real plot to this show, but it's so lovely and sweet that I really wish I'd seen it sooner. It's just ridiculously cute and makes me feel happy.
10/10. What an absolute delight of a show. I'm definitely going to finish the second season by tomorrow.
