Super great! I've never seen the movie this episode title is referencing, and probably never will TBH!
- Honestly, I was a little bit nervous for this episode, considering it was such a cliffhanger, even though I loved the cliffhanger itself -- replace Freddie Wong with his brother Jimmy Wong.
- I knew Jimmy Wong was going to state the intro words! That made me so happy! Although it's super cute that Freddie still gets to be in the campaign, and talk to everyone, even if Freddie can't act along so with everyone's PC.
- God, I love Jodie/Joe D Foster already. What a dweeb! Honestly, I would love it if Jimmy Wong's Dad Facts were just, Glenn Facts now turned Jodie Facts. He kind of did this, TBH, because his first fact was about Nick's vaccinations, and I definitely remember everyone debating whether Glenn Close was an anti-vaxxer.
- Part of me really wants to hope that Jodie Foster is still a son of Bill Close and a brother to Glenn Close TBH. Because it's just weird and wild and wonderful.
- Honestly, really curious to know how Nick's arc turned out now that we're living in the Jodie Foster world?
- I cannot believe that Nick now goes by his first name, Nicholas, and apparently everyone is calling hims Narcolas. He's still a baby! He still idolizes his dad!
- Loved how Ron thought it was a Dennis situation all over again, and how everyone reacted to that.
- I really liked Darryl trying to fill in Grant with the truth, which is different to him withholding the truth from last time, but -- he still has a long way to go? Like, OFC Grant can't quite wrap his head around it either, but it's still an interesting thing to do, and I'll be curious to know the fallout.
- I'm intrigued by Glenn's arc, right now? Him working out and basically doing The Iroh Workout in s3 of ATLA, is making wonder a) how many years are going to pass before he reunites with the dads, b) how is he going to react to Jodie, c) how is how he going to react to Nick?
- Honestly, if Glenn's judgement doesn't get undone, then... is Jodie going to be a permanent feature? And Glenn's just. The guy that hangs out with them? It's intriguing and I can't wait to find out!
- I'm curious to know if everyone is going to not listen to Glenn's part of the show? Like, Matt Arnold did it fantastically, holding off on whatever Grant talked about to Yeet Bigley, because that made for such a good conversation, because he genuinely didn't know about Grant's heartbreaking issues. But I -- I hope I hope that Beth/Will/Matt also do the same here. (Since Freddie edits the podcast, he can't not listen to their section, but he's done really well not reacting to it as Glenn subconsciously knowing too. Although again, this may depend on their reunion and how he acts TBH?)
Ah, I'm looking forward to Talking Dads, all the same.
