I did not think this show was going to tie the threads together so well, but it did? It succeeded so AMAZINGLY?????
- Let's get ships out the way: RED CRACKLE WAS AMAZING!!! THEY WORKED TOGETHER FOR SIX MONTHS! GREY WANTED TO SAVE CARMEN SANDIEGO BECAUSE HE CHOSE A LIFE OF CRIME, BUT CARMEN DID NOT. HE WANTS TO KNOW THAT SHE'S OKAY, AFTER EVERYTHING.
- HIS ONE REGRET WAS HURTING CARMEN???? MY HEART.
- JFC, I loved everything about Graham Calloway, orphan, Winter Solider, he was so amazing.
- ALSO: CHASE DEVINEAUX AND JULIA ARGENT. HE NO LONGER FINDS HER FACTS "DULL AND BORING" BUT "FUN AND INTERESTING". THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH. HE WAS SO HAPPY TO WORK ALONGSIDE HER AGAIN ONLY THIS TIME HE LEGITIMATELY ADORES AND APPRECIATES HER.
- Yeah, I wish both had actually became canon-canon, like officially, but at least it's fucking canon that they love each other. They undeniably care about each other. God, I want fic where they both end up together.
- Also: JFC, I love Carmen Sandiego getting brainwashed into a version where she just doesn't care about people. (Vaguely reminded me of Astronema in Power Rangers In Space, where she loses her heart and then becomes merciless and evil in a different way and I love it so much!) I loved that she gets her happily ever after: with VILE, where she once wanted, with Shadowsan, her true adoptive parental figure, and her actual mother, at the orphanage.
- I think it's good that we never know her real name, but at the same time, I would like to know it????
- (Kind of want the AU where Graham Calloway got raised in that particular orphanage, and is recruited by Carmen's mother to find out where her daughter is, and joins the crime scene for that specific purpose, but. IDK.)
- I still don't give a shit about Player/Ivy/Zack. I guess it's nice Player got to go outside for once, and Ivy and Zack became Agents, but I still think they're a waste of time, and I'll never really like them.
- It does make me laugh that they kept Roundabout in the prison for over six months. They just never got round to wiping his memory??? Hilarious.
- Loved the idea that some of VILE recruits just live happily anyway -- loved that the Chevre and el Topo get to live a different life, but they're together and happy still. Love that some got caught -- I did miss Paper Star, TBH, but I'm still happy we got to see her in some capacity, even if it just a picture. Love that some haven't -- Neil the Eel is still out there, being slippery as hell. And Boris and Vlad, just waiting for the next gig.
- I loved that Shadowsan is able to return to his brother. He ends his career on his own terms, and just. Yeah. It made me really happy.
- The montage of VILE getting caught was super cute! They get their own getaways, and they all get thwarted.
- I loved that Julia sort of became Indiana Jones. She'll help out both Carmen and Chase, because they're her friends.
I'm just really happy with this show. I kind of want there to be a movie for it, just because oh, I would watch seasons more, but this was extremely good and I'll be so happy to rewatch it in the future.
