Triad Princess

It could have been cute, but kind of really wasn't.
- Listen, the leads are very cute! Both Angie and Yi Hang were sweet, but the romance was way too rushed?
- I also don't think it helps that Angie's and Yi Hang's first meeting was Yi Hang finding Angie on his bed? I know she was acting a little silly and like a fangirl, but that's -- that's not a meet cute, that's a warning sign to stay away from that person TBH. Also, they went from there, to not really acknowledging it at all to suddenly being in love, to holding a press meeting to where he says that they weren't dating.
- Just. This was contrived miscommunication for sure. Even if they wanted to date secretly, it's so very easy for Yi Hang to have called Angie prior to the press conference and say 'hey, I'm going to lie, to protect you from the press, because not all relationship survive that pressure.'
- I didn't know that triad was referred to as the Chinese mafia, basically. But the more you know.
- I feel like Angie's role as a bodyguard could have been used better, TBH?
- I think the b-romance was cute. It was funny how over the top the love at first sight was, but -- considering both were Angie's friends, it's a little strange neither had met each other. It's one thing if they were Angie's friends and at different times of her lives, but it's just strange how they never intersected before.
- Not sure how I felt about Eddie. Like, maybe they did make him too perfect until the final scene, where it's implied that he organized some bad stuff, but. At the same time, again, it felt contrived.
- I did like the recurring use of elephants though.
6.5/10. One of these days I'll find a Taiwanese drama that I really like, but something about the three I've seen: Meteor Garden, Fall In Love With Me, and this -- leave a lot to be desired TBH.
